Lauren was born into our family. She was an answer to many prayers. Our Heavenly Father continued to bless both she and I after her birth as well. Lauren was born at only 3 lbs and 3 oz. She was so tiny. I was afraid I would break her. She was delivered by c-section around 2 in the afternoon. I had been on bed rest for about a month and really was ready to have her. It took me a few hours before I could go to the nursery to see her. She was on a ventilator in a little plastic bubble. Her skin was so thin. We weren't able to hold her right away. But she was a fighter! She ended up staying up in the NICU for 10 1/2 weeks. That actually was a blessing in disguise because I was so ill. It took me quite a while to get back on my feet and get past the many post delivery complications that came on because of Lupus. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. She is such a funny little girl. She is very compassionate and such a good little missionary.
Lauren was baptized on March 6, 2010. It was such a beautiful day. My parents flew in and my sister Katie. All of the Kapp family was also able to come. We has lots of great friends and ward friends there as well. She was so thrilled and looked soooo beautiful. Such a precious gift she is!
