Lauren and Cambri had a fun play date today!  Oh to be a little girl again! I have to admit that I NEVER use my china and crystal.  So when Lauren wanted a tea party today and those were the only cups and saucers that fit the occasion we opened the china hutch and began dusting and washing. LOL  Lauren was thrilled.  I thought it was adorable!  Maybe I need to have my friends over for a "Big Girl" tea party soon! :-)

Colorado Trip

Here are a few photos from our CO trip.  Derk and I celebrated our 18th anniversary, My brother Sean celebrated his 40th birthday, and Mikayla celebrated her 16th birthday all within the same week.  It was so nice to  be able to get together with family from NC.  I hadn't seen most of them in over a year.  We missed Ashley, Evan, and Poppy though!  Maybe next year!

Mikayla is 16

Mikayla FINALLY had her 16th birthday.  She has been waiting her whole life I think! :)  We spent the day shopping and then went out for her favorite dinner...all you can eat crab!  Mikayla is an awesome young lady and we are so blessed to have her in our family!  Love you much Kayla!!!

Mikayla finally found a summer job.  She is working at a local Asian restaurant.  Kinda funny since that was my first job too.  So far she is enjoying it.

We went today and got her driver's license.  She will get the real one in the mail in about 2-3 weeks.  I even let her drive my car to work tonight.

18th Anniversary

Derk and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary a week early because of vacations. I planned an overnight trip to Park City, UT.  I found an awesome deal on an awesome place. We definitely needed that after the year we have had.  It was so nice to relax and reconnect. We stayed at the Newpark Resort. http://www.newparkresort.com/index.html
It was amazing especially for the price.  We basically had an apartment.  Highly recommend it!  I found inspiration for my basement kitchen too.

So grateful for my amazing husband and the awesome relationship we have!  I couldn't ask for anything better!
